4 Places to Take the Family in Oakland

San Francisco gets all the glory from tourists, but Oakland doesn’t get enough of it. People who cross the Golden Gate Bridge into Oakland have already soaked up enough of the color and culture of San Francisco. But, they’ve only experienced a fraction of the surprises the East Bay Area has to offer.

If you and your family did go the other direction, then you’d see how Oakland is the better option. While San Fran appears big, Oakland is actually the biggest. Oakland boasts a population of over 400,000 people, and that’s not counting the 300,00 tourists who pass through. Not to mention the emerging tech industry. There are so many good places that would make Oakland a great destination for your next family trip. We’ve narrowed it down to the big four.

Established in 1870, Lake Merritt is the oldest nature preserve. The lake itself is a tidal lagoon fed by seawater, making it a perfect place for migrating Canadian geese, snowy egrets, and black cormorants. Merrit is encircled by a scenic 3.2 mile walking path and event areas. Young children will enjoy Children’s Fairyland amusement park. Fairyland has so many fun rides and one-of-a-kind puppet shows that Walt Disney himself used it as inspiration for Disneyland. Also, be on the look-out for the lake’s kaiju mascot, “Merritzilla.”

DG "Goat Milk" Beverage For Kids

Last Wednesday, Dairy Goat (DG) Goat Milk Beverage for kids officially launched here in the Philippines and I am one of the mommies who got invited to the launching of this product held at Ronac Lifestyle Center, Makati (Thanks Ms.Anya and Ms. Millie). Pediatricians and some people from the New Zealand Embassy are also present at the said event, Mom and Meeeh . I got curious about the product so I went and learned many benefits of drinking DG. I tasted goat milk, used some goat soaps, and other few things but I am not familiar with the taste of its milk, anyway back to the topic.

Philippines’ first and only Premium Powdered Milk sourced from Goat’s Milk!

Introducing DG Goat Milk Beverage for Kids (for 3 years old and above), produced and imported from the Dairy Goat Co-operative in Hamilton, New Zealand, DG Goat Milk Beverage for Kids offers powdered goat milk of the highest quality and manufactured by Pacific Healthcare Philippines.

As a mom, I want to give the best to my children and before I gave them anything I make sure that the product is at its highest quality attending the launching of the DG Goat Milk made me think to replace their milk because I learned so many beneficial from Goat Milk's that my kids can get.

DG Goat Milk is made responsibly. The process of converting pure goat milk into a safe, exceptional powdered milk beverage is a gentle, and minimal one; minimal processing results in a product closer to its natural source! they choose only the healthiest Saanen goats from New Zealand to ensure having the milk of the highest quality. ( see Saanen info. here )

Most moms will have the thoughts of is it safe for my kids? Yes, because products have passed international and local standards; Awarded The New Zealand Quality Product Seal, Passed the strictest standard set by the British Journal of Nutrition, Quality, and (Nutritional) Quantity by the Codex Alimentarius and it is approved by FDA Philippines.

Here are the DG Benefits because like us moms Dairy Goat also wants the best for our child.

PROMOTES GOOD NUTRITION

Gently and Responsibly Made.
  • Naturally More Complete
Like humans, Goats produce their milk through Apocrine Secretion, where milk fat and bioactive components in mammary secretory cells are enveloped by cell membranes as they are secreted. As a result, milk produced by goats has naturally occurring bioactive components.

EASY DIGESTION

For A Happy Tummy!
  • Easier to Digest
Casein in milk produces curds in our stomach. Compared to milk sourced from other animals, Goat Milk produces a very loose curd structure with a high proportion of water that is easily broken apart, thus facilitating easier digestion of milk proteins.

Fewer ALLERGENS

Boosts all-around Good Health!
  • Less Allergenic
β-Lactoglobulin is the whey protein that stimulates milk protein allergies. Compared with milk from other animals, Goat Milk has the lowest levels of β-Lactoglobulin; thus making it less allergenic for us! Dairy Goat is undoubtedly the premium goat milk brand perfect for your child.

For my early graders' boys, I am now switching their milk to DG to see my stories for their reaction when drinking the Dg for the first time.

DG Goat Milk Beverage for kids is available at Mercury Drugstore nationwide, Lazada and Shopee for only Php1,299.00.

Affordable investment to secure your future is possible with BellaVita Land

I have been working for almost three years now as a financial advisor and I have come to decide to invest my money as early as now for my future and my future family. For investment, I am looking for something that is affordable and has a long-time value aside from health investment which is a necessity for me.

At first, I was thinking of buying a car since many of us millennials dreamed of having a car but after analyzing my finances buying a car in this generation would not be a wise idea and will only cost me more. I asked my friends of the investments that they have, the majority of them invest their money on lots and house and lot. One of them said that she has just got her own house and lot in BellaVita and she talked about how happy she is in the place that she chooses and boasts that BellaVita Land houses are a good catch for early investment. After knowing my friend's investments, I am convinced to invest my money on house and lot, I searched for affordable house and lot for sale on google to look for choices and BellaVita Land is on the list, I went to their website (https://bellavita.ph/) to see their model houses. I contacted my friend who has a house in BellaVita and asked if she could introduce me to the agent to discuss further details.

And now I am excited about the turnover of my future home in BellaVita Land.

Blowing Those Troubles Away: Coping With Stresses (So Your Children Don’t Have To)

As a parent, we can find ourselves under various pressures. But when we start to realize that this is affecting our children directly, we've got to learn to blow these troubles away. Coping with stress is not just about being confident, but it's about understanding that when we are armed with the right tools, we can navigate issues in life. But what can we do to ensure that we cope with various stresses in life? Is it to do with the toolbox? Is it about the environmental factors, or is it about a combination of components?

Look At Your Every day Stresses

You have to examine the environment you are in to ensure that you have a good grounding for coping with stress. As most parents will attest, there can be a lot of money problems. If you are a stay-at-home mom, these tips on ThriftyTwo can provide you with some simple changes to save money. And we have to remember that if we have consistent pressures, like our finances, or worries, we've got to tackle these first where possible. This means that we can progress with a far more positive mindset if we make the necessary changes.

Understanding Your Stress Triggers

When we feel stressed, it's so easy for us to continue under this cloud that, over time, our children can think this is who we are. And when it comes to stress, we have to identify the primary triggers in us. And while your everyday stresses can be a significant trigger, if other things cause you to go down the worry spiral, you must start to become acutely aware of when you are slipping down the slope. By addressing this early on, we can put the tools in place to minimize these problems.

Changing Your Mindset

Partly it's to do with the attitude we exude, but it's also that toolbox. If we start to notice we have a meager mindset to cope with stress, then we need specific techniques to deal with them. This can be about trial-and-error. It could be about finding the right breathing techniques for finding a little practice that you can do every day to ensure that you remain even-keeled. But while we can't get rid of stress completely, if we learn how to manage it better, this means that we will have the ability to cope with it throughout our lives. Remember; stress, in small doses, is an excellent motivator, but when you find yourself consistently under this sort of pressure, it's essential to keep these negative symptoms down. It will impact you in the long run, and this is why a little practice can benefit you. But also, if this isn't a massive motivator, think about how it's going to affect your children. They look at us as the blueprint of how they live their lives, which means we should remember that if we are anxious and stressed, they will grow up with a similar mindset and behavior. We need to learn how to cope with the stresses so that our children don't have onboard this behavior. It's easier said than done, but you can start now.

The Best of Batanes: Top Attractions and Activities for First-Time Visitors

If there’s one Philippine destination that’s a common denominator among all travel bucket lists, it will probably be Batanes. Dubbed as the “Last Frontier of the North,” Batanes boasts a unique culture, welcoming locals, and numerous destinations that almost look too beautiful to be true.

Indeed, Batanes is a place that you have to visit to really appreciate its beauty. The pictures simply don’t do it justice. If you’ve finally booked a Batanes tour package, on the other hand, congratulations! You’re about to see some of the most gorgeous sights you’ve ever seen. Make sure to include these attractions and activities in your itinerary.

Rakuh-a-Payaman
Vast fields of green, clear blue skies with wispy, curling white clouds, and the waters of the Pacific Ocean crashing on the shores. These make the picture-perfect combination that characterizes the breathtaking view of Rakuh-a-Payaman. Also called Marlboro Hills or Marlboro Country due to its resemblance to the cigarette ad’s iconic setting, Rakuh-a-Payaman is perhaps one of the most popular attractions in Batanes. Take a selfie and a panoramic shot or two, then just appreciate the glorious vista with your eyes. It’s so much more beautiful without a screen or lens in the way.
